Tech Tips: How EkkoSense makes Power Breakdowns simpler

What is my data center’s power consumption?
Understanding data center power consumption breakdown across your different rooms is increasingly important. That’s particularly the case as workloads become more complex and organizations need to report against ESG and sustainability requirements. Traditionally, collecting this kind of power breakdown data would be time-consuming. Operations teams need to split up BMS data into IT loads, cooling loads, and other non-IT usage.
However, the EkkoSoft Critical solution makes the task significantly simpler. It effectively automates the data center power usage analysis – removing the risk of errors. Here’s how easy it is to view a power breakdown for each of your rooms using EkkoSense’s software:
- Choose Room Information to access IT (AC), IT (DC), and Cooling Loads for each of your rooms
- Select the Power Breakdown button in the Room Information sidebar menu
- Expand to view the full breakdown, giving you the ability to track each individual PDU and Cooling unit
EkkoSoft Critical also features a Corporate/Other category that is reserved for power monitoring of non-IT and non-operational assets that are to be excluded from any PUE calculations. This simplifies the production of automated ESG Reporting. Watch our Power Breakdowns video here.
