Green Data Centre of the Year / Innovation Product of the Year Awards
At EkkoSense we’re looking forward to Data Centre World London today and tomorrow. We’re on Stand D128 where we’ll be proudly demonstrating the latest enhancements to our EkkoSoft Critical AI-enabled data centre optimisation software, and we look forward to seeing everyone there.
This afternoon is also when the winners of the 2023 Data Centre World Awards are being announced. The EkkoSense team is shortlisted for three award categories – Special Contribution to improving Energy Efficiency (with Three UK and CBRE Data Centers, Green Data Centre of the Year (with Telehouse Europe and CBRE UK), and Innovation Product of the Year with our EkkoSoft Critical AI solution.
I’m often accused of being a glass half full sort of person, but it’s hard not to be excited when we’re the only company to be shortlisted in three #dcwawards categories. This is great acknowledgement for everything we’ve been working for at EkkoSense, and a fantastic achievement for a UK software business that’s operating in one of the world’s most competitive global markets.
This week’s other big awards ceremony – Oscars 2023 – takes place on Sunday, and there are obvious parallels with the DCW Awards…. However, it’s 20 years since ‘The Return of the King’ – the third Lord of the Rings movie – won 11 Oscars scooping all its nominated categories!
Now it’s maybe not quite fair to compare EkkoSense with one of the greatest movie franchises of all time. However, it would be great for EkkoSense and our customers to be recognised for the success that we’ve achieved over the last year. However, it’s also worth remembering that shortlistings and nominations are no guarantee of success. Hollywood giants like Peter O’Toole and Glenn Close with 8 nominations each over their careers still came away empty-handed.
So, let’s see how it all plays out today. Good luck to our fellow shortlisted colleagues across all categories, and fingers crossed….
