SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – February 1st, 2024 – EkkoSense, the global leader in AI-powered data centre optimisation, has continued its global expansion with the formation of EkkoSense Pty. The new business will operate out of Sydney, Australia and support sales across Australia, New Zealand and APAC.

EkkoSense’s innovative AI-powered EkkoSoft Critical software will help data centre operations across the region to reduce their cooling energy consumption by at least  10-20 percent, without impacting their resilience or uptime. This will be a key benefit for data centres of all sizes, from the largest hyperscale facilities to remote Edge operations, as they look to balance their cooling and IT loads and use their power and space more efficiently.

“All data centres need to run as efficiently as is possible without impacting resilience or breaching SLAs. That’s where EkkoSense can make a real difference, bringing new levels of visibility to data centre cooling, power and capacity performance, and enabling quantifiable power savings,” explained EkkoSense Pty.’s General Manager for ANZ and APAC, Robert Linsdell.

“Our software’s ability to secure power savings and release stranded capacity to increase IT loads is particularly important, particularly given the introduction of new AI loads with up to 10x the power usage. EkkoSoft Critical also helps teams to report on key metrics such as PUE – ensuring that data centre operations keeps on top of the ESG reporting requirements of future regulations such as the Digital Transformation Agency’s new Data Centre panel,” Robert Linsdell added.

Previously Managing Director of ANZ for Vertiv – and Emerson Network Power before that – Robert is a technology leader with experience across multiple sectors, including telecoms, critical infrastructure, datacentre, IoT, electronic materials and energy.

Matthew Farnell, Global Sales and Marketing Director for EkkoSense said: “Australia, New Zealand and APAC are important data centre markets, and we’re delighted that Robert Linsdell will be heading up our operations across the region. Robert brings proven sales leadership experience to his new role, and we look forward to the EkkoSense Pty. team establishing EkkoSoft Critical AI as the smart choice for teams needing even greater control over their data centre operations.”
