DCD Awards

I’m looking forward to attending the DCD Awards – joining guests from across the data centre industry to celebrate best practice performance across 16 prestigious award categories.

At EkkoSense we’re committed to helping organisations monitor, manage and maximize their data centre performance, so we’re proud to be supporting this year’s Awards programme and sponsoring the critical DC Manager of the Year category. For the first time I have been part of the judging team for this award and I’ve been impressed by how many of the entries demonstrated the importance of innovation in solving optimisation challenges – and also how strong leadership can make a real difference in ensuring consistent high-quality performance. I’m excited to be presenting the Award to the winner of this category on Thursday night.

From an EkkoSense perspective we’re also keen to find out how one of the projects we’ve been part of gets on in the DCD Energy Smart category. This award recognises the world’s most energy-aware and innovative approaches to building a sustainable digital infrastructure, and we’re delighted that Digital Realty is one of the four finalists in this category.

It’s an important project that certainly deserves to do well, with Digital Realty and EkkoSense having implemented an energy saving solution for legacy data centres that offers both a quick ROI and that is replicable across the industry. As with all EkkoSense deployments, Implementation is straightforward and delivers immediate energy savings and improvements to PUE.
