Reducing risk, increasing insight and cutting energy consumption for leading global bank

One of the world’s leading banking groups deployed EkkoSense to reduce risk, increase operational insight, and cut energy consumption. Initial results included a total cooling energy saving of 866 kW for the bank’s core data center sites, representing a 10% data center cooling energy saving in just ten weeks, an initial carbon saving of 3,111 tonnes per year – despite the fact that the bank’s IT loads actually increased during the optimization project, and OPEX savings of c.$500,000 per year achieved through reduced energy usage. Following the initial project success in North America, the bank then expanded its EkkoSense deployment to include key EMEA and Asia/Pacific data center sites.
