EkkoSense Appoints Bernard Tan to Drive Next Phase of Asia Pacific Growth

Bernard Tan - EkkoSense data center management expert Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia

EkkoSense, the global leader in AI-powered data center optimisation, has appointed Bernard Tan as Vice President of Sales for its Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) region.

Bernard brings over 15 years of deep expertise across the SaaS, AI, data centre and DCIM space, having built his career across technical, commercial and leadership roles at Schneider Electric, Vertiv, IBM and Trackunit.

Based in Singapore, Bernard will lead EkkoSense’s APJ sales team across Singapore, Malaysia and Australia.

Commenting on his appointment, Bernard said: “It’s a great time to be joining EkkoSense, and I’m looking forward to broadening the company’s sales footprint across the APJ region. Data centre operators are under significant pressure as they introduce AI workloads, ensuring they have the right power and cooling infrastructure in place while managing critical resilience and sustainability challenges. Yet too many data centre teams still lack the real-time cooling, power and capacity insights they need to manage their sites effectively.”

Bernard added: “That’s exactly where EkkoSense’s AI-driven data centre optimisation software delivers, directly addressing the need for absolute real-time white and grey space visibility with genuinely useful intelligence about facility performance. EkkoSoft Critical gets you straight to the data you need to run your sites more effectively – it’s purpose-built for data centre operators across the region.”

Bernard’s career in the data centre industry spans nearly 15 years beginning at Vertiv as a Presales Engineer and Solution Architect where his passion for DCIM took root. He then spent a decade at Schneider Electric progressing from consulting and channel development to leading the regional software sales team across APJ. Most recently, he served as Senior Director of Business Development at Trackunit, driving strategic growth and adoption of the company’s SaaS, IoT and telematics solutions across the Asia Pacific region. Bernard holds a degree in Applied Information Technology from the University of Newcastle in Australia.

“EkkoSense has been actively growing its operations across the Americas and EMEA, and Bernard’s appointment will be a key catalyst for Asia Pacific Japan growth,” added EkkoSense co-founder and CEO Dean Boyle. “His deep sector expertise across the region and strong track record working with specialist APJ partners makes him a tremendous addition to the EkkoSense team.”
