Our EkkoSoft Critical M&E SaaS platform has been selected as a 2020 DCS Award Finalist in the Data Centre Intelligent Automation & Management Innovation of the Year category. This is great news, and a proud moment for the EkkoSense team – particularly in a year where we have all been adjusting to the new ways of working.

2019 has been a year that climate has come to dominate the social, political and corporate agenda, and demanding long-term commitments are being made in terms of targets for achieving zero net emissions. With the data centre industry clearly established as one of the world’s highest collective consumers of energy, it’s perhaps hardly surprising that our sector is placing an increased focus on its energy usage.

I’m looking forward to attending the DCD Awards 2019 on Thursday this week – joining guests from across the data centre industry to celebrate best practice performance across 16 prestigious award categories.

I’m not sure whether branded polo shirts qualify as Riviera Style, but it was certainly more work than play as EkkoSense attended this year’s Datacloud Global Congress & Awards in Monaco last week.

Each year DatacenterDynamics (DCD) runs an awards programme that celebrates our industry’s best data centre solutions, projects and most talented people. An expert team of judges is tasked with recognising some of the latest innovations across the sector, and there’s a particular focus on identifying those solutions that can help organisations to maximise their data centre performance.

I was extremely proud that our Data Centre Optimisation (DCOP) Manager Anuraag Saxena -who originally joined EkkoSense as an intern as part of his Masters degree at Nottingham University – was announced as the winner of the 2018 DCS Awards Datacentre Individual of the Year category!
